    I am going to try to do one of these again. It has been a while, but I actually have most of the information gathered at this point, I just need to actually format it.

    This puts the Critical cap for this episode at 180, and the Counterforce cap at 130.

    To deal damage in these raids, you need Counterforce. Your damage is roughly calculated as (boss Counterforce Res + 100) - your Counterforce, where the floor is like 10-20%, and it caps at 100%.

    New Equipment


    The new equipment is named Astera, and all of its materials drop from any of the Level 100 raids.

    Strangely, this equipment tier has no new shields. In this trend, Arisha was also shafted. There is no level 100 Focus. We did get Lv. 100 earrings and Lv. 100 belts, though. (Lv. 100 Totems and Foci came out in a later update.)

    To fit the new equipment DEF in, as usual, the DEF cap has been increased from 21,000 to 24,000. (This went up to 26,000 in a later update.)

    New Enhancement Mechanics Pt.1


    In this update, Nexon KR has implemented a "failstack" system to enhancement. Essentially, each time you fail enhancement on an item, it will gradually fill a meter on the enhancement UI. As that meter increases, your success rate goes up. If you are unlucky enough to max the meter, your next enhancement will have a 100% success chance.

    The catch to this system is that it is tied to the item, not your character (to prevent abuse, no doubt). Due to this, a companion feature has been added to this, so that you can re-enable the ability to enhance a restored item. Should you fail the enhancement on that item again, you can simply restore it again. You can do this infinitely so long as your AP and supplies hold up, until you reach +15. You cannot restore the enhancement feature on a +15 item. The only other catch is that you can only re-enable enhancement on Rare rank items (those with orange names).

    The ability to re-enable enhancement on an item is separate from restoring it with AP. You must first restore it with AP to be able to re-enable enhancement on it. This process costs an Enhancement Rune of any type, a Rare rank version of whichever primary essence your item uses, a few Damascus Steel, and a Rare rank secondary mat or two, depending on what the item is. The mats it will ask for are:

    For Weapons:
    * A Stable and Perfect
    OR
    * A Keen and Lightweight

    For Chests or Legs:
    * A Smooth

    For Helms, Boots, or Gauntlets:
    * A Solid

    For Shields or Giant Shields:
    * A Solid

    In cases where there are two possible mats requested, the game will pick one at random, and you must provide those.

    Now, "a few Damascus Steel" is vague, and what even is Damascus Steel, anyway? Damascus Steel is a new material, used solely for re-enabling enhancement on items. It can be bought in the seal shop for 80 Seals of Bravery, in the PVP Competition Exchange Shop for 200 seals, or obtained as a rare drop in a raid. You also get five when you hit Lv.100, so that is generous of them.

    The amount of Damascus Steel required to re-enable enhancement on an item varies by its required level, and its enhancement level. These values are as follows:

    The other part of this update is the "failstack" mechanism itself. Each time you fail an enhancement on an item, the meter fills and the success chance rises, until you succeed. Once you succeed (or derank it with a Destruction Safeguard Rune...) this meter will reset. The rate that it fills at depends on the enhancement level you are currently at. Fortunately this time, there is no scaling based on item level.

    In the tables below, I will list the bonus success chance you get at each failstack count and enhancement level. The +10 column refers to +10s attempting +11, and so on up through to +14s attempting +15. The impression given is that these are flat values added to the base enhancement rate, not a multiplied bonus. (EX: A 25% base would go to 27% from a +2% bonus.)

    The other part of the update is that you can now enhance accessories. But wait, hold the pitchforks! This one is really generous, as far as enhancement goes. There are no penalties for failing enhancement except for the loss of the materials used to perform the enhancement; those materials being Heavenly Leather, Sealed Power Fragments, AP, and something else I don't remember right off, I'll edit this when I see the UI again.

    Enhancing accessories gives ATT, M.ATT, and "Counterforce" (대항력). The latter stat is a new stat that, so far, is only used in the new region, but will probably appear in most or all future areas. Essentially, due to plot reasons, the player char, as the hero, is becoming weaker. To continue to fight at full power, you make use of "Counterforce". Previous information implies this stat is something like divine power?

    Anyway, going to actual info, the specific accessories that you can enhance are Rings, Belts, and Earrings, so long as they are Level 85 or higher. They can be enhanced all the way to +20, and the failstack system will be in effect all the way up to and including +20. For this reason, I have not bothered to gather full information on the stats at each enhancement/item level; reaching +20 looks fairly easy as long as you have the supplies or the gold.

    Unlike weapons, armor, and shields, the enhancement bonus you get from accessories is dependent upon the level of the item itself in addition to the enhancement level. At +20, you will get the following stats on each item level:

    Level 85 accessories - 110 ATT, 110 M.ATT, 30 Counterforce
    Level 90 accessories - 150 ATT, 150 M.ATT, 40 Counterforce
    Level 100 accessories - 200 ATT, 200 M.ATT, 50 Counterforce

    This update added level 100 belts and earrings, but the highest level ring remains 90. Taking this into account, a full set of +20 accessories gives you 700 ATT, 700 M.ATT, and 180 Counterforce.

    The full specifics of how Counterforce works are unknown, as it is not currently enabled on the Test Server. In addition, Nexon KR has stated that accessories will not be the only source of Counterforce in the future.

    At some point, the DEF of Outraged Elchulus and Macha was increased by 1k, credit to Earl for noticing this. The post has been updated.

    Additionally, about a week after this episode reached Live Server, the Counterforce mechanics changed, and their Counterforce Resistance values were reduced. Due to an oversight, I had not updated the initial post. It is up to date now.
